Volunteers

Volunteers at New Beginnings are the heart of what we do. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities from Store help, life skills teachers, mentors, events, outreach, church liaisons, fundraising and more. All volunteers must be 18 years or older, have love and compassion for those in the community we serve, agree with our Statement of faith, mission/vision statement, and be willing to go through training as needed. If you are interested, please come by and pick up a volunteer application packet.

Store/Warehouse Help

Do you love organizing, cleaning, or enjoy customer service? We can always use help at our store. As a way to say thank you, we offer our thrift store volunteers store credit in exchange for time!

Church Liaison

Are you an active church attendee who loves to promote events? New Beginnings is looking for partners who would help us to promote our events and services.

This is an as-needed position.

Events

This position is for those of us who are event-driven. We have events throughout the year that require lots of hands-on decks from volunteers like our annual Fashion Show, Dinners and Gala, community outreach events, Golf tournament, and more. If you love events, we need your help!

This is on an as-needed basis.

After God showed me my opportunity to volunteer at New Beginnings it gave me new direction and new friends. I cherish my time with the people at NB. Because I am an organizer, I enjoy the "before and after" of course, but I think the most rewarding is the staff is always so thankful for what I do to help in the store.

I find incredible joy and fulfillment in working with and for the Lord. The men and women in the program continue to teach me so much about aspects in life that I was no exposed to before volunteering here. Overall, God shows me daily that He loves each and every person & we are each worthy, treasured and valued by Him. He truly is the God of second chances, forgiveness, and love! The job also blesses me greatly with joy, love, fellowship, belonging, and purpose! New Beginnings is Gods ministry, shining His love, grace, mercy and joy into this dark world.

This job has brought meaning to my life after such a long time with no direction and I thank God every day and night for making it all happen. Knowing that it all helps change lives makes it all the more better! I have seen lives transformed at New Beginnings through the mercy and grace of the Word of God. It is a life long process. We are all a work in progress until the day of God's return. It is a wonderful thing to see God work. The thing I find the most rewarding by being involved with NB is to see the individuals in the program succeed in their walk with the Lord Jesus and making good choices for their future. There is nothing more rewarding than to see these lives grow in their relationship with Jesus and make a positive change for their future.

I don't have to go to work - I get to! I trust that God put me where I need to be. I am on the front line meeting new poeple that come into our homes. I love people and what God can do in people. I took from everyone for many years, now I can give back AND I get paid, what a deal! There are to many positive experiences to list! I want people to know that at New Beginnings, we care and are always willing to help.

New Beginnings gives me purpose in fulfilling God's calling on my life. I have been able to sit in the front row and watch God work in the lives of the men and women in our ministry. There is nothing more fulfilling. New Beginnings is not the answer, it just points to the answer, which is God! We just get to be a small part of what HE is doing.
